Spa staff had a problem with my leather shoes in the gym. They point to a sign that says proper attire required. I guess you have to wear all plastic (polyester) in order to be wearing proper gym attire.

Excellent facilities, beautiful pool and garden.very good breakfast. Only problem is that it takes about 20 minutes walk to town. Taxis are plentiful and cost about 8 euros. Would recommend highly.

The staff are super lovely and friendly. It is close to the beach, which has a great view. Should go. The breadfast is not good, average even below average. Room is also ok, has a good view but does not provide tissues. Has toilet tissue. You can also hear the noises downstairs from the restaurant or bar, also from your next room when they open their doors. Good thing is that I am not a light sleeper and i was very tired. does not bother me

We stayed for 6 nights in June. The weather was unfortunately cool and cloudy matched by the temperature of the pool and the attitude of many of the staff. The indoor small heated pool was at the mercy of a few secondary school age children. The black and red colour scheme and the straight line design of the hotel and grounds add to the soulless nature of this place. No curves, no flowers. It was like being part of the Truman Show. A 15 minute walk to the marina and half hour walk to the centre of town. Staff ignored our request to repair the bathroom fan. Three requests of which two were in writing. The buffet is a battle ground. One long surface and its guess where everything is time. Most people are locked into an all- inclusive so are inclined to return to the dining room to resume the attrition in the evening. The on-site Italian is no relief. We had one meal here to find it was a microwave meal and was only partially defrosted. So for 5 out of the 6 days we ate out.

This hotel is about 3 mins walk from the beach, 15/20 mins walk from the Marina and nearly 30 from the old town. It feels rather remote and the rear faces onto a field of cows and a farmhouse ruin. If you have a car it’s fine and maybe there’s a shuttle bus in the summer but in January it feels a bit far out. However, even in the dark, I felt perfectly safe walking on my own. The pools and facilities are lovely. Breakfast is fab and fresh with everything you could possibly want. Apart from a few staff, most of them need to park on their friendliness skills and the majority don’t speak English hardly at all - so asking for a bowl at breakfast and talking to a plumber in my room was a real challenge. I was upgraded to a family, poolside room which was very spacious. As with so many hotels in warm places, the tile floors mean there is some noise from other rooms when they are occupied. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was excellent. Room cleaning was a mixed bag over the week

This hotel was perfect for us. Easy to walk to the farmers market or a walk on the beach. Breakfast was exceptional as was our lovely dinner I hope to visit again

This is a nice hotel with one major flaw. Nice building, good location close to the beach, although bit far from town. Spa and outside pool are nice. The buffet is very expensive. It's large, but rather average - standard food in a hotel catering for large tourist groups. The main issue is constant noise in the rooms. All floors in the hotel are stone tiles, combined with poor noise isolation means you can hear chairs an sliding bathroom an wardrobe doors being moved in all neighbouring rooms. The result is that for 18 hours a day you hear constant screeching and banging that after one day becomes really annoying. I'm not particularly sensitive to issues like that and this is the first time in a hotel I asked to change rooms, only to find out that the problem is in all rooms.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in the first week of September month. The hotel covers a large area right by the sea, which is slightly off from the centre of Lagos but only a 15-20 min walk away. This provides guests a lot of space where the hotel offers great facilities (the outdoor swimming pool is huge!) including free parking, and the area of the beach outside the hotel is not as busy as it's mainly used guests of the hotel. Most guests have all inclusive, so the restaurant gets somewhat crowded at breakfast and lunch hours, but we never had any issues getting a table at breakfast both inside and outside in the sun. There's a tanned, blonde lady there who works at the breakfast in the outside area. She was lovely! In general, all staff members were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are of good size, and if you're lucky you'll get a room overlooking the pool area and the sea further down the horizon. We were a bit unfortunate to get a joint room, so we could hear our neighbours watching TV. Minor but worth mentioning - no irons and iron boards in the room. I asked a lady at the reception if I could borrow one from the desk, but this was not offered as the hotel has their own laundry service. I only needed to iron out some shirt creases - not get it dry cleaned. Made use of the gym facilities. Has everything you need for cardio (crosstrainer, treadmill, bike), but lacks on weights. Dumbbells are up to 25 kg and there are machines for legs and back. There was also a chest press machine, but this was out of order through our entire stay. Overall, a good hotel that has (almost) everything. Great for families, couples and groups as you'll get the space you need, not far away from the busier streets of Lagos.

We had a fantactic stay at the hotel and can complement it for: staff and service with a smile, great food, free outside parking, swimming pool/spa and the closiness to a beautiful beach. Just be aware that the hotel get a large bulk of reservations from various tour operators, so at the eating times, the restaurant is really crowded and laud, not securing intimacy for a conversation at all. People queue to get food, so be patient. We also noticed that the hotel is especially popular among the package-travellers in their 50 or 60. Young couple were a definitive minority. Hotel offers nice packages: dinner + wine or special spa promotions - worth considering.

Villa Gale is a modern hotel in the subborb of Lagos just on Meia Praia which is the longest beach in Lagos area (and one of the best). Rooms are spacey with a good bathroom and a terrace. It is worth booking the ocean view room otherwise you will look at the parking lot. Breakfast is very good and filling. A restaurant in the hotel is quite expansive so it is much better to eat in the town. However, it´s quite far so consider car rental. In general, this hotel is a good option for this price.

this is one of the best hotels in lagos area. new, huge building just few steps from the beach meia praia. rooms are cosy and large with balconies, some of them even have very nice sea view. you can enjoy great breakfast. staff is friendly, in the lobby you can use free wifi. however, it´s worth to hire a car since the hotel is not in the city center.

Está viejo, feo y es muy kitch con fotos de pasarelas de moda y maniquís vestidos con ropa pasada de moda. La comida es pésima, cenamos dos días en el buffet y fue tirar el dinero, muy poca comida en cantidad y variedad. Todo vacío o con dos trocitos de cada cosa. En el desayuno, lo mismo, el zumo de bote directamente de un surtidor de Compal. Los donuts del día anterior todos resecos. Ni un 2 estrellas... Ojalá alquien hubiese escrito una reseña real como ésta para haberme evitado gastar el dinero y dos días de mis vacaciones

“Good service ”
Being away from the city was a good break. The location is meant for people who want to be away from the city but it is still walkable to the old lagos. Staff are helpful and friendly . Gym is fantastic.
