Located within two minutes walk of the bus station and about five minutes to the famous bridge and church. There is a supermarket one floor below and several cafes close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and ours had an outside private balcony with table and chairs, although the view was nothing special, it was a nice feature. The buffet breakfast is very good and the best we experienced (in this price range) as far as choice and range of food. They even had scrambled eggs available. The upstairs bar has an outside sitting area where there is a great view over the old city and you can get free WiFi. There were road works in progress just outside the hotel in mid October 2009 that should be finished by late 2009 or early 2010. Not a major inconvenience though.

-personal muy amable y eficaz -ubicacion muy buena,un supermercado justo al lado y muchos bares cerquita -zona tranquila y hotel muy tranquilo y silencioso. Aunque tuve inicialmente, algún problemilla con Agoda, porque en el mail de confirmación de reserva,el contacto del hotel no coincidía ( ni el tlfno ni el mail), finalmente, busqué por mi cuenta el tlf del hotel y les llamé para que me confirmarán la reserva y tema solucionado.

Hotel algo viejo y poco cuidado. Muy cerca del centro histórico de Amarante. El trato del personal de recepción bien y amable. El desayuno decepcionante con poca variedad y productos de poca calidad. Se sirve en una sala con ambiente soviético.

The hotel has a very good location, close to everything. The room is good size and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpsom. The breakfast was excelent.

Goed bereikbaar hotel aan de rand van het historisch centrum van Amarante. Voldoende eet- en drinkgelegenheden in de directe omgeving. Rustige sfeer in het hotel. 's Avonds is er in het hotel een bar beschikbaar. Ontbijt is goed voorzien. Parkeergarage naast het hotel of dichtbij op straat.

“What a surprise”
I stayed whilst on a motorcycle trip. The hotel entrance isn't the easiest to view from the road, but it's a surprisingly good hotel. I didn't expect much for the money but glad I stayed and picked the hotel. They do provide secure parking if needed.
