John the host is a lovely guy, this place is beautiful but you will be living with very basic amenities water trickling out of a bamboo for a shower, power goes off all day until dark. We got kayaks and paddled up to the next beaches which are amazing. If I was to go back though I would prob just stay in port Barton the beach their is beautiful and you will have so much more options for drinks and food.

This incredible spot is located 15 min by boat from Port Barton. You sleep by the beach and the feeling to wake up under the palms with an incredibile view is priceless. John, the young owner is the real plus. He manages the place alone, he does everything by himself and he does everything to make you feel like home. He's also a very good cook, he knows how to perfectly cook the baguette bread (that he serves worm for breakfast) and please try at least once his home made pizza! all the rooms are comfortable with private toilet. they are simple in perfect philippino style, don't expect luxury suites but try to enjoy the relaxing mood of this incredibile place more that the room itself... John can easily organize private excursions and boat trips. Prince John has also kayaks and paddle board to enjoy a sunset... I really can't wait to be back!!

Thats really amazing place and location!! And John is amazing owner! He did my vacations awesome, food is excellent.. he is taking really so much of everything!!! I am sure I will be back :)

The place is really original... You feel yourself in a small private beach with all nature and the cottages. The place is simple but is the idea... If somebody wants some luxury this is not the place but if you want a real Filipino experience this is the place. John the owner do everything for the guests feel super confortable... He also cooks delicious meals and organize nice tours. His staff is also very nice!

You can not ask for anything more! John is the kindest and most thoughtful host you could ask for. He will personaly make sure your stay at Prince John will be the highlight of your vacation. John does almost everything by himself with the help of some relatives. His boatsmen and Maikel will take you anywhere you want for a decent fee. Did I already tell you about the food? No? Oh my, the food is great! In the morning the catch some fish and lobster, put them on a plate and let you pick your own dinner. If you're going to visite Palawan, drop by Port Barton. It's a little hard to reach but trust me, totally worth it! It's less touristic then El Nido of Puerta Princessa and has the same (if not more) beautiful places to visit. And is you go, the book a cottage at Prince John! You will not be disapointed.

This rustic setting gives you the flavor of what it would be like to live in rural Philippines on a beach under the palm trees. For a Westerner you will not find “all the comforts of home” but you will find your needs met with gracious hospitality and concern. John is a fabulous host and an even more fabulous chef - he will even give you a cooking lesson while he prepares dinner for you. He will orchestrate memorable island hopping tours and treat you better than a member of his own family. Ask him for help with anything and he will do his best to make it happen. It will be an experience you will remember long after you leave his shores.

First of all, the location is stunning. Waking up to the most beautiful view of the sea pretty much just to yourself is priceless. It is just a short boat ride from Port Barton which keeps it away from the noise and the crowd. The food was incredibly good, fresh seafood (among other delicious dishes) served by the beach in front of te most beautiful sunsets. But the best part of our stay was the host. John is not only a fantastic person, but also a very passionate and hardworking professional who will make sure you are having the best possible time. He did indeed make our stay unforgettable. He also organizes boat tours, which we regret not doing because we could have had an amazing private island hopping trip at a much better price than most other places in Palawan. Highly recommended, we can't wait to go back.

We spent 2 day at John's lodge, in a cottage on the beach just 20 meters from the sea. John was very friendly and his food delicious (especially his french bread, I can say it because we are french!). The tour we did in the Island was amazing and adaptable, we did snorkeling, swimed with turtules and did many island as we wished. There is no extra fee hidden unlike at El Nido. We definitely recommend it to anyone.

Estuve tres días con mi pareja n casa de John y no tengo palabras para describir lo maravilloso que fue todo. Un auténtico paraíso, sencillo porque no necesitas nada más,es justo lo que estaba buscando...El anfitrión John, es el mejor anfitrión que hemos conocido,hizo todo lo posible porque te sintieras como en casa, detallista, atento, una persona sencilla, noble y honesta a la que le deseo lo mejor en este camino que acaba de empezar..La comida perfecta, fresca y deliciosa, los mejores cangrejos y el mejor calamar del mundo!!!!

Erstmal zum Gastgeber : John war ein sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber dafür schon mal 5 von 5 Sterne . Er hilft wo er kann und kümmer sich um alle Anliegen . Wirklich eine netter Zeitgenosse . Das Essen : Zum Essen ( das John auch selber zubereitet ) würde ich auch 5 von 5 Sterne geben . Es gab gleich am 1. Tag ein Buffet mit Languste , Krabben , Fisch , Nudeln , Reis usw. Wirklich sehr sehr lecker . Das ganze für einen Fairen Preis . Die Unterkunft : Also Lage war an einem Kleinen Strand ca. 15 min. von Port Barton entfernt . Super schöner Kleiner ruhiger Strand . Wir wurden von John's eigenem Boot vom Cost Guard Punkt abgeholt . Der Fahrer des Bootes holte das Gepäck an Boad und los ging es . Wir bekamen von John statt des gemieteten Zimmers einen kleinen sehr schönen Strandbungalow . Sehr sauber und vollkommen ausreichend . Das Wasser und der Strom ging nur an bestimmten Zeiten aber das war auch vollkommen okay . Das Badezimmer war nach oben offen ( also Duschen im freien ) und auch sehr sauber . Also wirklich eine schöne Unterkunft .

“Perfection and Paradise”
Absolutely paradise. John and his staff are some of the best at hospitality i have ever encountered. They provided everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. John arranged transportation to and from his resort between the Puerto Princesa Airport and Port Barton. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the essentials. The bed and pillows are so comfortable I found it difficult to get out of bed and enjoy the beach. The food is very cheap and delicious. There is a very reasonably priced island hopping tour with lunch included. Everything is safe and no problems whatsoever. A trek of an hour, there is a gorgeous waterfall. The kayak provided free of charge is fun and a great way to explore. There are hammocks, beach lunch chairs, dinning area, great beach for swimming, and volleyball. Stay here for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. There is no need to go anywhere else, this is the best beachfront destination! Salamat!
