Beautiful location in a very comfortable lodge with huge comfortable bed. There is a new tree-house restaurant / structure that is worth a visit. The food was authentic and very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. No single use plastic in sight. Local breakfast options were lovely and some of the best tasing coffee.

The lodge with 6 spacious and tasteful rooms is embedded in a little farm and silk weavery. Our 4-night stay was very relaxing and enriching. The wellcoming and caring staff made everything to make our stay unforgettale - some of the best food we had in Myanmar, served in a bambo-treehouse-restaurant, skillful and relaxing massages at the spa, organisation and tips to explore the lake and the region also off the beaten paths, and nice details ike warm-water-bottles for the cool nights. The lodge is built completely with natural materals in the traditional stilt-stile, the rooms have high ceilings and excellent beds and highest quality bedding - while it is not the posh style of luxury, everything is thoughtfull, of high-quality and natural. It was also inspiring and informative to speak with the owner Ko Aung Kyaw Swar, who is also engaged in the Inle Heritage Project. A perfect place with great atmosphere and people, sustainable approaches off the beaten tracks of tourism

Gorgeous traditional lodge with delightful rooms and beds and linens that you would find in a luxury hotel. We ate different cuisine each day at breakfast. Laundry service cheap and excellent. We had a hot water glitch with the solar powered technology but the helpful problem solving with hot water ferried across in a giant bath from the main house. This is a place for people looking to make an authentic connection to people and place. The organic garden is fabulous and the meals in the treehouse restaurant delicious.

A Little Eco Lodge is a great place to stay. The staff is very gracious. The lodge is walking or biking distance to Nwaung Shwe. (They have a range of bikes you can use for free.) Breakfast is included with a few choices of Western or Myanmar sets. Dinner can be ordered for a small charge and always includes wonderful fresh vegetables and tasty curries. The staff can arrange taxis, boat rides on the lake, short or long hikes up into the hills, and they have plenty of suggestions for things to do and places to see. There's a very peaceful atmosphere about the place. If that's what you're looking for, you can't go wrong here.

We loved this place! Beautiful rooms, wonderful food, charming staff and inspirational stories. This is a hidden gem. If you want to get off the beaten track and have an eco experience, his is the place for you. We’ll be back!

Myself and a friend spent 2 nights here and couldn't have felt more privilaged. This is a family run, small hotel, 15 minutes cycle away from the town an the lake. The room and setting was stunning (but watch out for mosquitos!) and the home cooked food is delicious and fresh. We had many conversations with the family and they even came on a walk up to the mountains with us one morning. We couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommend making this your first choice of accommodation at Inle Lake.

The staff at Little Eco Lodge went above and beyond their responsibilities when my five-year-old daughter was ill with a fever. Not only were they caring beyond measure, they made her a special meal, provided a space for her to continue resting when we needed to vacate our room and helped to coordinate with our pre-arranged driver to adjust our departure time. We felt so well cared for. We loved being away from the busy downtown streets where we could enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of nature. It was an easy tuk tuk ride (10 min) to get to the restaurants downtown. Added bonus is there is a small shaded bamboo playground with swings, slides and a sand pit for children to play in.

We found this gem of a place on the internet before we left to visit Myanmar. It was constructed during 2016 and opened as a guest house at the end of 2016. it is run by a delightful and lovely family. The main owner and his wife are on the website, but the owner's sister also assists and cooks the breakfast and dinner. The guesthouse has just five rooms. The guest house tries to produce its own heated water and to an extent electricity. They use local produce, growing as much of their own vegetables and herbs as they can. They are beginning to produce other products that the local area is famous for. The owner also works with other socially responsible enterprises locally including the heritage house and assists organisations to help employ local people. We enjoyed a massage here and after three days and two night trekking from Kalaw enjoyed the most comfortable bed we had on our trip to Myanmar; in fact the bed and the linen was comparable to a five star hotel bed, it really was that good. We enjoyed a twin aspect room at the front of the property and were able to enjoy the sunrise and sufficient privacy too. The bathroom was more than fine for our needs and although it took a little time for the shower to get warm, it was one of the better bathrooms we experienced from the many hotels we visited during our trip. There's no TV but a better internet access than some other hotels (we still think this place deserves five stars). The dinners and breakfasts were simply delicious, especially the dinners. You have to pre-order, but the food is prepared by the owner's sister (who we think should open her own restaurant) and they can offer different meats or vegetarian options, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them as everything is freshly prepared. the food can change with the seasons, but the curries we had were scrumptious. I loved this little hide away. The eco lodge is beautifully decorated. It is located just outside town but the hotel offers bike rental for free - so its just a 10 min bike ride into town. Perfect place to relax, away from the buzz. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again. Wish the owners lots of success

I must say that this place went beyond any wild expectations I had from the reviews I read. It is nested away from the crowded town of Nyaumg Shwe but it still just 10 minutes by bicycle (the best way to go around!). The lodge is just 6 rooms hemce quietness is guaranteed and if you are lucky like me you will meet some awesome travellers like I did. All the staff, starting from Kyaw and Meme, are simply amazing. I literally cried when i left today, i never felt more at home than here. I am vegan and they accomodated for me meals that I could eat both morning and evening in perfect Burmese style and cheap as well. They organized for me two great escursions, one by boat to the floating villages and a one day trekking uphill. They are very environmentally friendly and very much involved in preserving their traditions and roots while keeping up with the progress of tourism here in Burma. Such an example for most businesses here, less is more, quality rather than quantity.

Don't hesitate to book here. If you are happy with the homestead rule stay you'll have absolutely nothing to worry about with this lodge. The setting is pretty and peaceful, the beds extremely comfortable - we both really loved the vibe. The family sorted out everything we needed for our stay at Inle Lake. They have an onsite spa and have really fantastic massage and reflexology at very reasonable prices. The staff (family) are as nice a people as you can find. We are there both nights if our stay and can honestly say the food topped all other in Myanmar. If you can get a room book with confidence.

This is literally one of the nicest hotels we ever stayed in. Everything was PERFECT. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay from two to four days! The familiar staff was wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful for everything. They organized us everything we wished and even more (boat-trips, trekkings, contact to locals, etc.) The location, very peaceful with organic garden near an orphan school, is perfect for a relaxing stay and very near to everything. We were lucky not to be in the middle of Nyaung Shwe because it's very noisy and touristic. The staff, the traditional rooms and the superb food (inexpensive for the quality you get) is done with a good taste, and most of all, all the concept is eco-friendly and societal friendly. All the staff is local and seems to love their job and land. The connected weaving center is a great opportunity to increase the locals income and preserve their traditions. And don't miss the amazing birmanese massage at the hotel!

The hosts: I felt so spoiled by them. They make you feel more-than-at-home with small gestures of evening tea and mid-morning flowers. They arranged a boat tour, had me over for dinner one night, and taught me about the local culture. They did all they could to ensure I was comfortable. The lodge: true to its local architectural roots. Great lounge chairs on your personal balcony. Large common area decks are perfect for reading your book. About a 10 minute bike ride into town (provided by the lodge), it is situated close to an orphanage and small picturesque lake. The room: not only beautiful, but the bed was very comfortable. Tall ceilings and lovely plants in the bathroom. The massage: traditional Burmese massage by their in-house therapist at the spa at the lodge was heaven after a long day of bike riding. This was truly a special experience. Don't miss out!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Little Eco Lodge! The hotel is raised on stilts and set in the rear of a field, only having a few beautifully decorated rooms each with their own balcony. As it is so new, the rooms are fantastically clean and spacious too. We were worried when we arrived about the rooms being too cold due to the materials and their size, but when we returned that night there were some surprises in store which kept us warm and made the stay that much more memorable. Breakfast is also great, out on the veranda overlooking the garden, and the staff were fantastic throughout our stay! Kyaw Swar was on hand to offer us tips for where to go and to help us whenever we needed anything by phone when we were out during the day. Bicycles were available free of charge and he organised a pick up from the bus station for us when we arrived from Hsipaw. His assistance and the the hotel's style and class rally made our stay in Inle one of the more memorable on our Myanmar adventure. Didn't get to try the spa as we only had two days at Inle and had other priorities, but I suspect it will be very good! The only downsides to the hotel are the location, a little out of town at maybe ten minutes bike ride which isn't such a great idea in the dark (everywhere in Inle is closed at 9pm anyway tho) and the lack of wifi when we were there which should already have been remedied. Would definitely recommend it to friends and would stay there again!

If you seek calm, yet, appreciate the near proximity of town, this is the place for you! I am so beyond happy that I booked this lodge. I had the most amazing stay. The staff is wonderful, the food excellent and the activities well organized. I recommend this place to all my fellow travelers. Thank you again for everything Little Eco Lodge staff, I will be back soon!
