Expect accommodations to be expensive in venice. this is is probably among the cheapest. Difficult to find since venice is one big maze like city. I would recommend that you go first to piazza san marco. then find the bell tower (not the main campanilla) that leads to the inner streets. study google maps on how many turns to do.

Staying in this hotel made me and my family feel like living in a squatter area! It's very very filthy! Bathroom, fridge, beds,shower, basin toilet bowls etc are all dirty. Bed has plenty of bed mites that when we woke up the next morning from our first stay, we all got bitten. Rats were playin' around the hotel entrance. They have facilities inside the room but what a shame, 98% of them are not working. I would like to reiterate to be very careful with the employees of this hotel( dont know his nationality), he was very impolite, born with heaps of sarcasm and totally rude or perhaps he's uneducated and do not know about customer or hotel guest service so he treats guests not realizing that these guests are the ones feeding him and making him pay for his gym membership! Anyway, I would rate Hotel Astoria from 1-5 & 5 being the highest a glistening -.000000001!!! And would give it a -0 star rating not a 2 star as what they claim! WARNING: Never stay in this dirty, house of insects like cockroaches, centipedes etc. hotel. Your vacay will be deppressing, ruined and disappointing if you stay in Hotel Astoria. This filthy hotel corrupted our supposed to be fun-filled stay and vacay in Venice!! SHUT THIS HOTEL DOWN!Rip-off hotel!

It was far from what we expected of a 3 star hotel. The room was dirty, the closet looks so dilapidated (?) we were afraid to open it. There was no airconditioning and the window was broken so we couldn't open it to let the air in. The electric fan was also broken (no stand, so had to tie it to the wall). But then since the room was closed, the air from the fan was also hot. It really took the romance out of Venice.

Travelling from Australia, I was staying in Balogna for 5 days. During that stay I intended to see Venice and overnight to see it at night too. As it was 33 degree days and I'd be doing a lot of walking, I unloaded my backpack to just the bare essentials, put my passport in the safe and even changed purses. On arrival this hotel they needed proof of identity and I had none. We rang my Balogna hotel who would fax a copy if I emailed them advising it was OK to go to my room for passport. I asked this hotel if I could use their computer to do this and they refused, and because of that I lost my non refundable room, non refundable train fare the next day and had to buy another ticket back to Balogna, all because I couldn't use their PC. I've never come across such a lack of customer service when really needed. Do I recommend staying here – MOST DEFINITELY NOT!

The hostel is quite far from the Venezia S.L. station but it's not far to get to the tourists spot. It's quite hard for met to find the hostel coz Venice it's kinda big maze for me. I could access wifi in the room and the staff was friendly as well. Not far from the hostel, there are a lot of restaurants.

It was a lovely hotel located in the heart of old Venice between San Marco Square and Ponte Rialto. Branded shops around as well as cafes and restaurants. Lovely sites to take nice pictures. Gondola piers is just walking distance

the room had no air con or fan so we needed to leave the windows open but a million Mosquitos attacked us and left us ravaged. It was so hot the windows had to be left open. Do not visit this hotel in summer it is unbearable. We asked for a fan and they never gave us one and also they had no bottled water cold for sale!!! We left early and booked another hotel because we were losing our sanity. Breakfast was not edible just stale bread.

The room was small with no air-con, which was quite a shock for us in the middle of Summer but we're not sure if most of the Venetian hotels are like that. They provided a fan which helped somewhat (better than nothing!!). The location was quite good, near San Marco square, but difficult to find. Breakfast spread, or the lack thereof, was surprising. There was almost nothing to eat except for bread and ham.

i booked the room for my relatives. the location is conveniently located near san marco square, lots of affordable restaurants around and souvenir shops. the hotel is old and small but well maintained. priced reasonably. will use it again in our next trip to venice

“I'm DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!”
Wi-Fiが使えない。部屋は全くNG。唯一繋がるフロントでもサクサクとはいかない。 フロントは狭く5〜6人で窮屈だが、Wi-Fi求めて集まりだしたら階段も登り降りできないほど。 エアコンはないので常に蒸し暑く、臭い。 オススメしません。 1晩寝るだけなら良いかも。
