Everything was good overall, except for the noise from motorcycles. The walls were not soundproof enough, and I could hear noise from the neighboring room. The service and facilities are the best in the Bromo area — I have never received such good service before. The food was also very good. However, the main purpose of my vacation was to relax, have a good sleep, and enjoy the natural sounds. Unfortunately, there was motorcycle noise throughout the day, especially early in the morning and at night, which made it difficult to rest. Considering the hotel rate and the overall experience, I feel it was not worth the price. In the end, I did not feel relaxed at all.

The hotel was sooo beautiful, our 2 days stay here seem so short. The hotel staff accompanied us to the sunset spot. The hospitality at the hotel was superb, all the staff were so well trained. We had a memorable stay, I would surely come back again to Plataran if I have the chance to visit Bromo again.

“Stay at Plataran Bromo”
This was a family trip for six people, and we booked three Premiere Suites. After finishing our Mount Bromo tour, we arrived at the hotel around 11:00 AM. Since it was before check-in time, we had lunch at the hotel restaurant while waiting. However, we did not receive keys for two of the rooms until 2:00 PM, and the third room was not ready until nearly 3:00 PM. The check-in process was extremely slow. For guests who have just completed the Mount Bromo hiking tour and are already exhausted, this is very unfriendly and inconsiderate. The hotel staff were also unprofessional. After handing us the room keys, they simply let us find the rooms on our own without anyone guiding us. When we finally received all the room cards around 3:00 PM and were about to take the elevator, two members of a supercar club entered the lift. The hotel staff asked us to wait and allowed them to use the elevator first. The elevator capacity is 13 people, and at that moment there were only two people inside. Why were we asked to wait? As a five-star hotel, every guest should be treated with equal respect. In one of our rooms, there were no large bath towels provided. We also dined at the hotel’s Teras restaurant. There were a lot of flies inside the restaurant. We had been seated for more than 10 minutes before any staff brought a candle to help deal with the flies — and that only happened after we asked. When ordering, about half of the items on the menu were unavailable. Even nasi campur, which I consider a very basic dish, was not available. Putting these issues aside, the hotel’s hardware and facilities are excellent. The views from the rooms are truly beautiful, and the location is very good. The resort trip organized by the hotel was also very enjoyable. They guided us around the property, showing us different scenic spots, and there were activities such as feeding rabbits, goats, and horses. In conclusion, the service does not meet five-star standards and the staff clearly need improvement. However, the hotel’s facilities and scenery are worth a visit.
