Lost faith in the hotel that my gold ring was not found that was left on the sink but the manager still claims left items are returned to their rightful owners and told management to investigate for their own reputation sake, if any.

We stayed one night there. It’s very near Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple walking distance. Checked in late night. Staff was not friendly. Room was not clean well window blinds were broken. Breakfast had limited choices.

Requested early check in while booking - there was no response , luckily called up before travel else would have been stranded on road - got arrigant reply they are full and no time to respond to early check in requests - location is good for going to temple

Pros: location close to temple and train station, comfy bed Cons: very unfriendly staff, terrible breakfast, weak air conditioner, very noisy both from outside hotel and between rooms/the hallway. Conclusion: would stay again out of need not enjoyment

I recently sent my parents who are in their 60s with 3 of my aunts who are all in their 50s and 60s. As this is is their first time in India on their own, I made specific arrangements for their travel requirements including the hotel that they will be staying. Purpletree Place West Marret was recommended to me by a friend who was there recently for a holiday with his family. He highly recommended the hotel. True enough, all my specific requirements on the groups needs were meticulously carried out. My parents and aunts couldn't stop commending on the spaciousness of the club room and the hospitality they received at the hotel. This is a value for money hotel with fantastic service and facilities. The rooms are spacious and suitable for large families and groups. Highly recommended.

The room offered to us was spacious and the air conditioner functioned well. But there was no natural light. The staff were surly and unfriendly throughout our stay. The attached restaurant (where breakfast is served, which is complimentary) is quite dirty and unhygienic, and our health was badly affected due to this. The hotel staff made zero effort to accommodate our needs. You have been warned this is not a hotel you should consider for a stay!

I expected far more from this place. The room was small, with a closed off window, so no natural light. The a/c barely functioned well, leaving the air more stifled. The staff were cold at best and downright rude at times. Complimentary room service coffee was served and then charged at Rs. 20 a drink. Free breakfast is served in their restaurant but no one gets the closing times right, which means you may get there too late for it. In any case the restaurant food gave me a very bad case of dysentary that I am still recovering from. When I asked for some juice the staff refused to honor the free breakfast, stating I was 30 minutes too late for it, and insisted on charging me for the drink as well, despite my being really ill. I am glad I checked out in time, god only knows what more they would have asked of me in my ill state. So I stayed in a hotel whose food poisoned me, whose staff ignored my needs, and whose rooms were suffocating. What's there to like?

Stayed at West Marret Hotel for a day. The hotel is located on a narrow street and we had issues locating it since there was no published phone number on Agoda.The room size was very good(stayed in a Club Room) and was very well furnished. Bathrooms are also well designed.Hotel is walkable distance from Meenakshi Amman temple. Auto service can also be availed for Rs.10/-. Stale food was provided for complimentary breakfast and hotel needs to ensure that this does not happen again.

Hotel Simone voor de prijs, maar de service is erg slecht, totaal niet klantvriendelijk. Wij kwamen om 15 uur aan en pas om 19 uur was onze kamer klaar. Daarvoor hadden ze wel een andere (kleinere) kamer beschikbaar. Toen we uiteindelijk aangaven daar dan wel te blijven (we wilden niet weer alles inpakken) moesten we toch voor de dure kamer betalen. Daarnaast was onze kamer niet schoongemaakt overdag. Er is enkel Indiaas ontbijt in een warm, vies zaaltje. Geen aanraader!
