Lachen has very few decent hotels given the location. Within that Apple Orchard promises to be the best but falls short due to bad staff behavior. Among the pros is nice property and decent/basic rooms. The bad part is that they just don't want to attend to you. Given that it has only 11 rooms, the owner couldn't justify keeping enough staff and that hurts me as a customer. The staff that is present is overworked and wants to vent out it's frustration on the guests. The luggage pick up, room cleaning, housekeeping and restaurant bell boy et Al roles are performed by the same guy - can understand why he was so furious all the time. Overall, given that you don't have many options, I believe many will still book this property but in my view it's not value for money. Better to stay somewhere else where it's cheaper bcoz anyways people won't stay more than 12 hrs here.

“Amazing stay! ”
We travelled in March 2019 and I would say this is one of the best places to stay in Lachen. The property is beautiful. The view from the room is breathtaking. The staff is wonderful, they took very good care of us. The resort tariff might seem a bit expensive as compared to other places but it is well worth every penny. All meals were included in the cost and the staff serves delicious food with several options to choose from. We particularly liked the little attention to details like, they gave blanket heaters along with room heater, gave hot water in flask for the night, started the fireplace before dinner and served us food with much love! The location of this property is the best thing about this resort.
