“Great location, friendly receptionist”

The hotel is just 3 minutes walk to prague castle. However, one needs to walk uphill for 6 minutes from the nearest public transport, so might be difficult for elderly or those traveling with heavy luggage. The staff at the reception is so friendly and helpful, which made our trip in Prague a lot easier. The room is clean and well equipped. Note that aircond can only be switched on during summer.

“Very Nice”

This was an amazing place to staff with very friendly and helpful staff. We spent a night there on our way to Poland and it is just the kind of accommodation we needed to relax and recuperate after 23hrs of travelling. Highly recommended especially for the magnificent view.

“Donot accept their Room No. 17 & 18”

They provided us Room No. 18 that was on the 3rd Level and the Lift goes upto 1st Level. We have to carry our Luggage by our self through very narrow wooden circular staircase. We were handed this room when there is another Buildng with 5 Levels and a lift that can go up to 5 levels and the Hotel was not fully occupied in Oct. 2019. Our booking was through Agoda and it was Non-Refundable, thus we did not have much choice. Confirm before you book for the Location of your Rooms and the access by Lift. Breakfast was Good and the Staff was helpful. However, I would not recommend this place.

On the 4th flood, the only place where we could have access to wi-fi sans the toilets. The shower was to replace because there was no seal.

“Authentic and gorgeous ”

Located at top of hill but on the way to the castle. Beautiful cobble stoned Avenue with shops and cafes. Decorated in authentic style - the ceiling was stunning. Windows opening to the street. Spacious. Catch the no 15 train from station up to square then short walk up. Not suitable if you don’t want the walk up hill each night but quieter than the flatter area.

Perfect hotel for a short trip to Prague. Staff were wonderful and so helpful. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was great. Definitely stay here again

“Boutique Hotel in Good Location”

This is a good hotel choice for central Prague. Not right in the centre, but close enough to walk to all the main attractions. Some rooms are up steep steps, so check beforehand. Otherwise, rooms, breakfast and Wi-Fi all good. A plentiful choice of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. As for Prague itself, it is undoubtedly a beautiful city - if rather Disneyesque with hoards of tourists everywhere. Be very careful not to get ripped off, there are plentiful tourist scams e.g. beer varies from 40Kr to 120 Kr for 0,5L (disappointingly poor quality beer at that). Next time I'd try a less tourist focused destination. Just do your research.

“Great location and spacious room”

We had a non-AC room (not sure if there was another option) and it was a bit stuffy at times so we opened the window but the street noise was very disruptive. Shower is small but staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were huge for European standards. Location was great with a lot of shops and places to eat nearby and a great view right near the Castle. I would stay again.

“A truly excellenet hotel in a fabulous location”

Wow. what a wonderful find this hotel really is. From the moment my partner and i arrived to the moment we left we could not have been more pleased with the hotel. It ticks every box in terms of a warm welcome, big spacious clean rooms, breakfast with ample choice, friendly and attentive staff, and a terriffic location. Upon arrival the receptionist was ever so polite and courteuos and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He provided us with a map and suggested places we might like to visit. His English was more than adequate yet he was quietly spoken and unassuming. He even carried our bags to the lift. Thank you. We were also greeted with a welcome drink. A lovely touch. The drink was served up by the friendly and professional italian waiter. He became a real symbol of our stay and a very welcoming presence. Every morning at Breakfast he was smiling and happy and made the most fabulous hot chocolate- it must be tried. Our room was one of the biggest rooms i've ever had in a hotel. Room 309. Very spacious. Big bed. View onto the street to hear the hustle and bustle of tourists on the busy street below. I loved prague and loved this hotel and will definitly visit again. Thank you to the staff for being so accomodating, particulalrly the waiter and the receptionist. The Hotel Golden Wheel is fabulous and I will be recomending it to my friends who visit Prague in the future.

“Obver rated”

On the check in we understand that they wasn't car parking allocated. We had to pay 30 Euros per day on top for secure parking. No help to carry the luggage in our room. Our room was located in the 3rd Floor. No elevator from the 1st floor to the 3rd Floor. The Hotel claim to have AC but unfortunately this is not properly hook up. So we had to sleep with 33 degrees. Breakfast was good, the only thing is the waiter wasn't to happy when I request a 2nd coffee. But I get them any how.

The location is close to the Castle so it is convenient. Also the room is spacious and quiet. The only reminder is that the hotel sits at a hill. If you carry a luggage, it may be a better idea to grab a taxi instead walking.

“프라하성이 눈앞에~~”

가히 최고라 할 수 있는 숙소예요. 프라하 성과 스탁벅스 인파가 보이는 예쁜 다락방과 유리로 된 비밀의 테라스와 지붕 사이 작은 정원까지 참 아기자기합니다. 직원분들도 정말 친절하고(얼핏 무표정으로 보일 수 있지만 정말 미소가 예쁘시고 손님을 배려해 주시려는 게 느껴졌어요.) 특히 남자직원들은 배우급 외모네요 ^^ 주변이 너무 예뻐서 매일 동네 구석구석 새벽조깅했어요. 조식은 화려하진 않지만 소박하니 정갈해요. 제가 경험한 유럽 숙소 중 최고의 화장실과 침대쿠션이었습니다. 돌길에 캐리어가 좀 힘들 수 있는데 택시타면 바로 앞에서 내려주셔요. 트램으로 오시면 100미터 이상 돌길 오르막 걸으셔야 하는데 그 정도 고생은 충분히 감수할 정도라고 느꼈습니다. (지극히 개인적인 느낌입니다^^)

일단 프라하성 완전 근처에 있어서 풍경은 좋고 돌아다니기에 위치는 어느정도 괜찮습니다. 단지 언덕길을 많이 올라가야해서 캐리어끌고가기 힘들었어요.. 그래도 완전 관광지라 주변에 볼것도 많고 트램도 많고 했네요. 단, 미니마트 같은놈들밖에 없어서 물가가 구시가지랑 5배정도는 차이나는 창렬함... 그래서 트램타고 장보고 다시들어왔던 기억.. 그흔한 편의점이 프라하성 근처엔 없다는거.. 워낙 건물들이 오래된것치고는 시설은 괜찮았고 특히 화장실이 깔끔하고 커서 동유럽여행중 묵었던 곳 중 제일 괜찮았습니다!
