“Fantastic stay at the Hangzhou Westlake Xixiang Shanfang - Highly recommend staying here !!”
I booked this hotel online for my husband and myself to explore Hangzhou for 4 days - As a foreign tourist in China I was not sure what I would find when I arrived - However as soon as I stepped into the courtyard I was absolutley delighted with the place - Checking in was a breeze and the hotel manager Jesse, who spoke perfect English, was the greatest treasure to find - As she took us upstairs to our Deluxe room with mountain view we marveled at the quirky little out door places to sit and the lovely views - When we finally arrived at our room we were both besotted with the place - Our room as a loft conversion with the most quirky and unique bathroom and bath tub ( photos uploaded ) the bed was massive which was perfect as my husband is 6ft 3 so we rarely find a bed big enough for him !! The room was totally delightful, clean , quirky and the size of a studio apartment it even had a kettle and proper tea mugs :-) Jesse was wonderful and helped us to get milk for our morning tea in bed - she also advised us to explore the Westlake by foot or bike and wrote all the address of some great places to visit in chinese in case we got lost or needed a taxi - and she booked us a great one day tour of the temples at short notice - nothing was too much trouble - it was really difficult to leave as we both felt so welcomed and very much at home - I would recommend this hotel to all travellers who want to chill out and enjoy the stunning sites of Hangzhou
