Even though Inn the Village is located about 15 minutes walk from a beach, the real attraction of this place is that it lets you experience life in an authentic Cambodian fishing village. The villagers will drink with you and invite you to their crazy birthday parties. It's an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture and learn the language, and the staff are wonderful at helping you integrate into village life. Still, though, it might not be for everybody. It's not a beach resort, and the facilities are rustic with Khmer-style bucket showers, generator power limited to a few hours in the evening, and no wifi. But, if you've in the mood for a unique cultural experience, you've got to check this place out. Also, they can arrange a kayaking trip through mangrove forests that takes you out to a beautiful hidden beach. Definitely do that while you're there!

Yes, you don't have wifi here, neither hot shower or even running water. Don't go there to get a comfy and all inclusive night, it's all about the spirit of the place. The staff is WONDERFUL, they are really helpful, they will make you visit the village on demand and explain how Sarah (the owner) and her volunteers managed A LOT of stuff to help them. The location is far from the main pier, but the way to go is amazing and will make you get through amazing places in Koh Rong. But it's a rough walk (2-3 hours of sand&jungle walk). The place is 15 minutes away from the most beautiful Beach of the World 😍 The food is amazing and the plates are huge ! And if you want to change a bit, they will lead you to some nice local & cheap restaurants. Ask for the famous ice coffee of the place 😋 I loved the time I spent here, I loved the staff, I loved everything !

inn the village is just as it said "inn the village" its a tiny little fishing town with charm. when i first got of the pontoon it was a bit of a shock, there loads of wood and tin house on stilts and garbage on the street. there is a really nice atmosphere both in the village (the village) and inn the village( the hostel). ten mins walk away there is coconut beach which is stunning, staff are amazing, locals just as good. don't stay 2 night stay 7-14 get into the book reading beach vib and find out how to truly relax. thanks to sara(queen of all), kyley(dive master), mariner( princess of zen), sun( smiling prince) and sun (beach cook, masseuse and all round good local). p.s you are in a basic village with no internet and basic facilities but after a day you will have forgot about these things anyway.

El bungalow se encuentra en la aldea cercana a Coconut Beach, está situado a 10/15 minutos andando desde la playa. El trato por parte del personal fue estupendo y había un gran ambiente, disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia. El alojamiento es muy sencillo, nada de lujos, electricidad de 17:00 a 23:00, no hay agua caliente ni duchas, hay que lavarse con un cazo, pero a cambio eres el único turista en una aldea local, lo recomendamos si se quiere visitar un lugar en el que vive la gente local y no hay turistas.

Doppelbuchung, und kein Ersatz angeboten, wir wurden praktisch im Dschungel stehenlassen und konnten sehen, wo wir bleiben. Nur ein müdes Sorry, das war alles. Nicht mal was zu trinken wurde uns angeboten, nachdem wir uns 40 Minuten lang mit schwerem Gepäck einen tierisch steilen Berg rauf- und runtergequält hatten. Der Berg wurde in der Beschreibung auch nirgends erwähnt, da stand nur was von 10 minütigen Spaziergang. Hätte ich von dem Berg gewusst, hätte ich das Inn ganz bestimmt nicht gebucht, für ältere, schwerere Menschen ist der Weg richtig gesundheitsgefährlich! Für den Rückweg bezahlten wir einen Anwohner für den Transport unseres Gepäcks. Der Typ von der Rezeption des Inns, der selbst zum Strand fuhr, kam nicht auf die Idee, uns wenigstens das Gepäck mitzunehmen. Sie sagten, sie könnten noch nicht mal meine Buchung stornieren und ich sollte zusehen, wie ich mein Geld von Agoda zurück kriege! Sowas von schlechtem Service hab ich noch nie erlebt!

“Go!”
Inn the village is a experience unlike I was expecting in Koh Rong, in a little place far away from the main tourist drag, near coconut beach. The team volunteering there are a credit to the hostel as they get everyone involved in games in the evenings and are just generally really friendly and nice. I stayed two nights and had a great time chilling at the beach, and hanging with the local kids and the people at Inn the Village (where I also met some awesome other backpackers). If you get the chance, stay here! Just be prepared for no air con or fans or wifi, bucket showers and electricity just in the evenings. It's basic in the best way!
