広々とした素敵な2階のアパートメントで、プールの素晴らしい眺めがあります。フレンドリーで親切なスタッフがおり、非常に清潔に保たれています。

“Great resort”

We loved our stay at Port Douglas Sands. A short walk from town which was nice and quiet with great facilities and rooms. Easy to check in, undercover parking and a breezy check out too. Will definitely come back

“Clean room, nice pool, good location”

Enjoyed our stay. We had a rental car so location wasn't really an issue, although you could walk to shops and main cafe strip from here. Pool was nice, not busy as most rooms seem to be lived in by residents rather than visitors. Didn't see any staff until we checked out, as we checked in late. Rooms were nice, clean and plenty of space for our family to enjoy and relax.

Very long walk to the main street. Great budget family hoilday. Great pool for kids.

I was skeptical at the start, as extended family were staying elsewhere. But I am thoroughly happy with what we got 😊 The apartment we got was clean and nicely set out. When checking in, the man at reception, marked some places in the map for us to check out, unfortunately we never got to them, though I did appreciate that he took the time to do this. Whenever we spoke to the managers, they got onto any issue straight away. The pool/spa area is a great relaxing area to chill after spending the day out. Bbq in pool space was very clean and easy to use. Also has a mini sand area for kids to play in, also has some sand toys to play with This place is great for anyone who just wants to relax, families and extremely budget friendly.

“Impressed ”

Friendly staff. The 3 bedroom unit was very clean, beds comfortable, perfectly made and heaps of pillows . The unit had everything one could need, from a fully equipped kitchen (it had everything!) to umbrellas, to Foxtel. Even had a washing machine and dryer. Loved it!!

“Not as Advertised ”

Room was not as advertised Beds on wheels so bumping on the wall every night Couldn’t really use the balcony as someone was smoking close by on a regular basis

I love it being away from town. Around 2km walk. Stayed in room 45 this time. Unit is for sale and was showing age, need for some TLC, but was clean and neat. Air conditioning didn't really cool bedrooms, though BR have fans. Brekky room a nice ad on, and pool is good. Beach access through mirage resort is easy enough, maybe 6-7 min walk.

Great facilities and attentive service. Sweet pool. Easy breakfast. Plenty of space. No clothes airers alowed on balconies was only downer.

We loved everything about the Sands Resort. Every encounter with the staff was positive; they were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The included breakfast, which was quick, easy and convenient was great especially when getting out and about with younger kids. The accommodation itself was great, had everything we needed and the pool was fantastic and catered for kids really well. There was a family friendly atmosphere and we plan to come back next year and bring the older children with us as well.

“Ok but overpriced”

The hotel was a bunch of suburban units. Our Unit, 2 bedroom apartment was ok but we felt it was overpriced for what we got. 1 bathroom for 4 people, it was tiny cramped up with a washing machine and a clothes dryer. The worst thing was a dirty floor. We couldn't take our shoes off for our feet would get BLACK... If they had a mop, I would have washed the floor myself, but seriously...? No free WI-FI, free breakfast was just a couple of boxes of cereal... Won't stay there again

Location was good. About half hour walk into Main Street. We expected more for the price we paid. We are not fussy but we paid more than we typically do for accommodation so we had a greater expectation. Room was comfortable, rooms were spacious. Pool was fantastic

“If you like a 1980s prison cell, this is your place! ”

This place cemented our view that holidaying in Australia is not worth the money. Go to Bali, get a palace and save your money! This place has not been updated since the 80s. The mattress is so small and uncomfortable I cannot sleep… it reminds me of a coconut husk mattress I once slept on when I was backpacking. The light on the balcony flashes. We have a non smoking room, next to a guest who blows the smoke from his balcony directly into our lounge. There’s are rules and regulations on every wall and window reminding you of the apartments rules, and consequences, if not behaving. There is not a single item in the apartment to make it in the slightest bit homely. It reminds me of a bare prison cell. Generally uncomfortable, tired and very close to taking out a bank loan to move to the Sheraton across the road.
